About this course
Transition Year is about building confidence and real-world skills, and first aid does both. The day is mostly practical: students work in small teams on manikins and realistic scenarios rather than sitting through slides, so it holds a TY group's attention from start to finish.
It goes well beyond a CPR demonstration. Alongside CPR and the defibrillator, students practise what to do for choking, heavy bleeding, burns, breaks, head injuries and common medical emergencies such as asthma attacks, severe allergic reactions and seizures. These are skills they can use at school, at home, on the sports pitch and in a part-time job.
We bring all the equipment. You provide a hall or a large classroom, and the course fits into a normal school day.
